Accessibility Statement
Conceptual Health is committed to WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance across all our products. Healthcare cannot exclude the people who need it most.
Conformance target
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA for all public-facing surfaces and authenticated patient-facing surfaces. Clinical-facing surfaces (EHR, provider dashboards, command stations) target Level AA where it does not compromise clinical-density requirements; we publish exceptions and rationale on this page.
What we do
Every release ships with automated accessibility testing (axe-core) and manual screen-reader testing on at least one full critical path. Color choices meet 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components. Every interactive element is keyboard-accessible and has a visible focus state. All form fields have labels. All non-text content has alt text or ARIA labels. Every page can be navigated with a "Skip to main content" link.
Known issues
The DICOM imaging viewer and chain explorer require a sighted operator for full functionality; we provide alternate-format report exports. Real-time charts on hc.exchange ship with screen-reader-friendly tabular alternates accessible by tab key. Some marketing animations respect prefers-reduced-motion; if you find one that does not, please report it.
Assistive technology
We test against current versions of NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS + iOS), TalkBack, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking. We test in the latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please email accessibility@conceptualhealth.com or use the in-app "Report a barrier" link in patient settings. We respond within 2 business days and aim to resolve barriers within 30 days, or provide a documented timeline.
Formal complaints
U.S. residents may also file complaints with the Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights or, for ADA Title III matters, with the Department of Justice.
